Chicken Gyro Wraps Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large tortillas or flatbreads
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic powder, coriander, cumin, salt, and pepper. Marinate the chicken breasts in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
3. Bake the marinated chicken for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
4. Warm the tortillas or flatbreads in the oven or on a skillet.
5. Spread tzatziki sauce on each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, sliced chicken, black olives, diced tomatoes, and red onion.
6. Roll up the tortillas tightly and serve.
Tips:
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
- You can make tzatziki sauce at home or use store-bought for convenience.
